Hello and welcome to Day 4 of our June Rubber & Die Release Showcase!
On Wednesday (20 June), Whimsy Stamps released this month’s new rubber designs, new Shapeology dies and new Shape EZ by TLC. From now until 26 June the Whimsy Stamps DT and Special Guests are showcasing these fabulous new goodies with a daily mini blog hop.
Each mini blog hop has a new release prize hidden somewhere along the way and you have 24hrs to enter each prize draw.
Play Time!
Today I had the opportunity to play with Mountain Lily and I decided to mask her and stamp Tulip Garden in the background.
Ok I know her hair is BLUE! I think I may have been slightly influenced by a
blue dragon Elaine coloured recently but I LIKE it!
Doesn’t she really stand out with blue hair!!?!
Sweet like a little pixie!!
I kept the background quite muted and the streaks in the ‘sky’ were inspired by
Barbara and her underwater ‘rays’ tutorial.
Clean and Simple!
As you can see, I’m BACK to clean and simple… haha
I knew the Shabby Chic wouldn’t stick for long BUT I will play more.
Actually I decided to follow a sketch over at Mojo Monday as I was a little stumped for ideas.
It’s slightly different but the basic idea is there and I love how the clean lines really make the image and sentiment ‘Dare to Fly‘ stand out.
The sentiment actually includes a sweet little butterfly however I wanted it to fit nicely on the square so I simply inked ‘around’ the butterfly.
Sorry no copic colours today. I do have a big pile spread out over my desk though!
