Happy 40th Birthday Trudie!!
A special blog hop just for you gorgeous lady from all your adoring friends.
I hope this day is super special and that the year ahead will be filled with wonderful memories and many HEALTHY, HAPPY days. You are one of a kind. Strong, funny & caring all rolled up into an amazing woman. Love you heaps Trudes!
Of course I chose to go with the Alice in Wonderland theme, one of Trudie’s favourite stories and a theme that she continually hinted (OK BEGGED, PUSHED & PLEADED) I needed to add to the store. 😉
I used Curious Alice digi stamp and the background is a sample of a new collection coming in the future so it is not yet available.
I coloured the background first and then cut it out with the ‘largest’ stitched rectangle die from the Lawn Fawn small set and then cut the white back panel using the largest die from the LF large rectangle die set. I use these two in combination ALL the time!!
I coloured Alice with Copic markers and then fussy cut her so I could pop her in front of the scene with some dimension.
I wanted to add a sentiment but I didn’t want to cover up the background too much and I was worried stamping onto the scene directly it would get lost so I decided to use Vellum so that you could still see through the to the image behind. I cut the edges using the large rectangle die to carry the stitching theme through and heat embossed the Happy Birthday sentiment then wrapped it around the main background image. To finish it off I added a few gem stones.
And because Trudes loves things sparkly I couldn’t help but use my Wink of Stella all over Alice’s dress. You can see the shine in the first photo.
Have an amazing day love from us all
