As soon as I saw this set of ‘Mini and Many Friends‘ images in the Tiddly Inks Store I knew I wanted to create a mini set of cards with them!
Because they are small and not too detailed, they lend themselves to being coloured quite simply giving you time to build cute little scenes for them!
I began by cutting out all three circles from blue and green cardstock using the LawnFawn stitched circle die. Then using the LawnFawn Stitched Hillside Borders I cut the little hills from the green cardstock.
I stamped the rainbow stamp on each blue circle using Denim Adirondack ink and then coloured the rainbows with Derwent Inktense pencils before wetting it slightly to activate the pigment.
The best part was using the Angel Dust Art Glitter over the top of the rainbow. It’s absolutely magical! I really must remember to use it more!
I coated the little chipboard clouds in WOW! Diamond White embossing powder which perfectly complimented the glittery rainbow! The clouds helped to fill in the void and make the scene look proportional.
The chipboard words are created using two layers. The bottom layer was coated in white embossing powder and the top piece coated in black embossing powder. The best thing about using embossing powder is it’s quick! and you end up with a glossy result without having to use glossy accents.
Finally I added a word or sentence to compliment each chipboard word using my favourite white embossing powder on black card stock. I never throw away my black scraps, especially the thin strips as I know I will use them time and time again for little white on black sentiments.
I really adore how this little set of cards turned out. The Mini and Many Friends are the perfect choice for fun cute cards like these!
