I am back again to share a quick and simple card I made for the current challenge at TiddlyInks – Thank You.
Thank you cards are fabulous because you can give them to anyone at any time of the year, just because – and they will be sure to brighten their day.
I decided to colour up the adorable ‘Wryn – My Happy Thought‘ and teamed her up with a ‘Thanks’ sentiment that I coloured in coordinating colours. I even added some designer paper to the background to tie it all together!
I coloured Wryn using the following colours
Skin: E000, E00, E11, E13 / R32, R43
Hair: E23, E25, E27, E29
Dress: BG01, BG02, BG05, BG07
Leggings: Y19, Y38, YR24 / 0, W3
After I coloured her with COPIC markers I thought it would be fun to add a few details with a white pen and to help make the dots ‘pop’ I added a tiny little dot of blue pen on the bottom right of each dot to ‘cast a shadow’.
Check out the close up.
I coloured the 3.25″ ‘thanks’ chippie with BG05 & BG01 and then added the same little white dots with blue shadow to match the dress.
I really love that I can do little extras like this with the new cream chipboard.
After creating all the elements, I created the base of the card using some Lawn Fawn stitched dies and stamped the little ‘you make me smile’ sentiment to complete the sentiment.
Then I glued it all down onto a standard sized card and popped Wryn up on some foam dots to add a touch of dimension.
Of course to finish, I coated the word ‘thanks’ with glossy accents.
Really a quick project for me. Such a cute image and easy to colour.
Thanks for popping by.
