Mix n' Match – The Release is HERE!!!

Zoe July 14, 2011 69

Hi everyone!!

Woohooo, the long awaited release is here!!

It has been an incredible and fun ride playing along side Christy. She has been so wonderful to work with and I must thank her for all of her organising of this BIG event!!

The images we are releasing would have to be my favourite to date (do I say that nearly every time?!?) hahaa

My illustrators went the extra mile with their fabulously detailed background scenes, incredible little houses that Make it Crafty is famous for and my new illustrator with her gorgeous Victorian characters.

Christy has come to the party with a range of different characters that are just to die for! No matter what your taste and desire, she has something for you. With her darling little fairies, her tanker crew and stunningly gorgeous Victorian girls you will take great pleasure in colouring them up!

What a team hey?? When I saw all the creations come together from our girls I was blown away. I am sure you will be too!

So we of course want you to check out all the creations, so we have come up with a fun game!

‘I SPY’

hmmm… what does that entail?

Well you’ll have to head on over to the main launch page where you will find ALL the details on how you can play, what you can win and get inspired to mix n’ match the best images from two fabulous stores!
(Hey! I am allowed to be a little biased. hehee)

However, before you head on over, I do have a little project to share with you of my own!

I did it to myself again and went a little overboard with my merged images.

There are three little houses and three characters!

The size of the scene is 6 inches square and it took me FOREVER to colour but I think it was worth it.
I was very upset with how it was all turning out until I finally began to colour the characters (I started with the background first)

BUT, I am happy with the result. I know!! Not often you hear me say that!! ๐Ÿ˜€

Here it is….

Here you can see Oliver and the Rusty Can House from MiC

This Precious from Tiddly Inks

In the back you can see the Steampunk House from MiC & Steampunker from Tiddly Inks

And here is a close up of the Big Steampunk Treehouse from MiC

So how long did it take to colour??

Well I had an early morning and woke up at 5:30am… began colouring and around 4pm in the afternoon it was finally finished.
Granted I didn’t colour that WHOLE time but I worked out it was probably over 5 hours of solid colouring time.

WHY do I do this to myself???!?!?!ย  hahaha

I do hope you like it though. ๐Ÿ™‚

Now one last thing before you head off to play.

Both Christy and I decided we would offer you a little bonus to get started combining our images.

For one week only we are offering you 15% off our new release images!!

Just enter the code MIXNMATCH at either of our stores on checkout to get your discount!

Make it Crafty Release

Tiddly Inks Release

HAVE FUN!!!

Big Aussie Squeezes!!

It’s really neat how you can suggest the texture of the clothing. The red overskirt looks like crushed velvet because of the soft look. Some things I’ve seen you colour, like striped elf stockings, look very shiny. You sure have some mad skills!

Oh lovely! Precious’s dress is just breathtaking – I am weeping over the black portion of her dress, too amazing. A definite inspiration for me. Completely stunning scene.

Your insane! You know, I have *yet* to create something on this scale with so many merged images. Gulp… now I may have to eat my words… but seriously, I’ve tried, I’ve merged and I’ve even printed a few… but nooo… they all end up in the rubbish before I begin to color. LOL Maybe someday after I get some green faces colored. ๐Ÿ˜€ *Hugs

If only I could colour as well as you can – it would need a miracle I think!! Congratulations to you both – I hope there’s more in the pipeline! Keep creating please – we all love you xxx
