Hello everyone!
Today I have a sweet little card using the new Summer Flower Tilda from the Summer Memories 2012 collection. I have been hanging out to find some creative time to relax and colour her up.
I wanted to keep her nice a light and ‘airy’ and I thought I would attempt purples and pinks…. well that didn’t quite go down too well but I figure I just need more practice!
I was recnetly given some Cheesecloth by my DT gal Alyce and it has lead to me wanting to try the shabby look! Now this is where I SERIOUSLY need practice as unfortuantely it feels like this attempt turned into quite the mess!! haha
But it’s all about the fun of experimenting right??
I used a bunch of Magnolia stuff that I have been hoarding AND new yummy Doohickey dies!! The beautiful magnolia papers are Mini Cloudy Pink Hearts (GORGEOUS!) and Mini Pink Butterfly.
The DooHickey dies are Foliage (Bon Voyage Collection) & Leaf & Swirl.
I distressed all the edges and then covered everything with white acrylic paint to give it the ‘shabby chic’ look and of course I just had to add a little dragonfly! hehe
I hope you like my attempt at ‘Shabby Chic’. I’m going to practice more and maybe one day I’ll be able to create the beautiful cards the rest of the magnolia girls can create.
Thanks so much for popping by today!

Beautiful card!!
We are always our own worst judges… bravo for you that you kept at it..the only really beautiful projects happen when we dare to experiment and move out of our comfort zone! I like this card and I think you did a great job!!xxx Ann Marie
It’s gorgeous! Glad that you experimented and gave it a go. You did a fabulous job with the colors and textures.
It is all about trying things outside of our norm Zoe! Glad you tried it because I think its lovely to see Magnolia colored lightly and in a fairy style! You’ve inspired, thanks!
