Karen's Doodles Easter Challenge (#2)

Zoe March 15, 2010 39

**Second Post – Scroll down for me Monday Showcase Card**

Thanks to everyone who participated in our first week over at Karen’s Doodles US Challenge. You all did a wonderful job and I picked up lots of ideas! Congratulations to the THREE lucky winners!

This week  our challenge theme is Easter. There are a bunch of new gorgeous Easter images available at Karen’s Doodles.

The prize this week will be: Your choice of images from Karen’s Doodles online store! 1st Place: 3 digital images. 2nd Place: 2 digital images. 3rd Place: 1 digital image.

As soon as I saw the image “Easter Bunny Hop” I imagined a scenic hillside and that’s where the inspiration for this card came from!

I created a template for the folds and hills on my computer and printed onto letter sized card stock. I added patterned paper to the hills and sky. The clouds were given to me from a friend Leanne over at TheBoxx. I mounted them with concertina paper springs to give them more depth when open but allow them to spring flat for sending.

I made the tree from using 3 different circle punches, and different coloured green card stock and arranged them in no particular fashion. I cut the flowers from some pp and used mounting tape to add dimension.

I coloured “Easter Bunny Hop” with copics on GinaK paper and then cut him out. I traced the bounce marks onto clear acetate and stuck the bunny to the page. I then mounted the acetate in between the two hills.

The card flattens to fit into a letter sized envelope. :)

I hope I have offered some inspiration for this weeks Easter Theme Challenge at Karen’s Doodles US Challenge blog. Jump on over to play too!!!
