KA-POW – WAM – CRASH – HELP!

haha! This week we have a fun ‘KA-POW’ themed challenge for you over at the TiddlyInks Challenge Blog.

I was a little unsure what I was going to do at first and looking through the TiddlyInks store I came across – My Batty Hero – and the idea of this fun city backdrop with Batman saving the little girl hit me with a KA-POW! *giggle*

So essentially the idea for this challenge is to create a ‘Comic themed’ project. You really could have a lot of fun with it!

I started by colouring the background scene and in fact I went live in the Make it Crafty facebook group if you would like to watch – View Video Here

The hardest part was trying to give the buildings perspective whilst keeping the spotlight on the little girl.

I wanted to add some ‘dust particles’ at the end and whilst wondering how best to do it, it dawned on me to use a texture cloth. It was just perfect!

Here is the adorable Batty hero up close

After fussy cutting leaving a white border, I popped him up with his little bubble words for extra dimension.

I really love how this challenge pushed me to think up something fun and different to do!

I hope you will join us too!
