Fairest of All Princess

Hi Everyone,

I have the colouring bug! To be honest, it’s been a while since I have been in love with colouring and I’ve fallen head over hills again. So nice to have my mojo back. :)

For some craaaaazy reason I decided to try colouring up the Fairest of All Princess rubber stamp using the no lines technique. Talk about needing surgeons hands!

I took some pics a long the way to share via Instagram (Follow me!)

Wow the shirt folds were tough!
That’s why I started with them in case I made a huge mistake and needed to start over.

Getting her face right was tough too and the eyes…  eeek Still don’t want to look too close. :)

I had fun colouring the folds on the skirt. Nice and big and not too difficult.

Her hair was crazy difficult and I am not entirely happy with it but it was so fine that it was the best I could do without a bit more practise. Looks OK held at arms length. :)

And the finished card and image taken in better light. :)

You can see I had a little whoopsie with the black ink dripping on her skirt whilst finishing her hair. Sad moment. :(

For those of you collecting colour combos…

Skin: E000, E01, E11, E13
Shirt: C0, C1, C3, C5
Vest: B00, B24, B26, B39
Skirt: E33, Yr23, YR31, YR30
Hair: 110, C7, C5, B05, B12

Plus a bunch of similar coloured pencils to help tidy up areas.

All up she probably took around 5 hours to colour.

Big Squeezes!

I love the yellow combination you used and the layout of the card is perfect – elegant and simple! Very well done!

Yes, ditto Forgotten. I think this is beautiful, so elegant and princessy. As for holding it at arms length, pfft! You notice what you don’t like, because you did it. I just see amazing artwork. I bet you could have cried when your pen dripped. Hate it when that happens x

Dibbs, Dibbs, Dibbs, Dibbs. She’s gorgeous Zoe, so beautiful in the no lines technique. Love the yellow combo. You really know how to bring a stamp to life. X

Gorgeous card, Zoe, and fabulous coloring. I have enough trouble with lines due to my vision, so not attempting the no-lines–you did a great job! :^)
Love the color palette and the CAS design! You let the image rock the card! :^)
I understand how hard it is to have the drips happen–makes you want to cry after all the work you’ve done! But I wouldn’t have noticed if you hadn’t said something. :^)
    Have a lovely week!
    Hugs, Penny

5 hrs? Really? Oh I need to practice. I’m not this good at 10 hrs. Thank you for the inspiration she’s exactly perfect. Flaws and all
