A little mini Magnolia gift set!

Zoe February 23, 2011 26

Hi Everyone,

Whew, my weekend was awesome! I can’t believe how just a couple days away can make all the difference! I had a great time catching up with my girlfriends and I also got out on the Jetski and got some colour to my skin. I needed those all important Vitamin D levels built up! Sitting in front of a computer screen just doesn’t cut it! heehe

So I realised just before I go to bed that I have all these cards I have made but haven’t shared with you yet. Can you believe it? I am actually ahead of myself! woohooo.

I made this little set for my friend for her birthday and now that she has it AND was a good girl and has already used one I can now share it with you too!

I can’t believe how long it took me to make to be honest. It may have been because I was multi-tasking and I made a boo-boo when I measured the box first time round but it just seemed to take ages and ages and ages and well it doesn’t LOOK IT! I am quite annoyed by that but I do like the simplicity of it.

And here are the cards that I made inside. I kept them simple so they would be easy to mail.

And here are the close ups of each card. These are the mini magnolia stamps. Was my first time colouring them and I must say I admire the many of you who have beenplaying with these. They are sooooooo tiny and took me likely just as long as colouring a normal one! lol

I don’t really have a lot of info to offer on this one sorry everyone but I took a lot of pictures! heheee

I am going to head off to bed as my DT hi-jacked me whilst I was trying to write up this post and all of a sudden 2 hours have flashed by and I should have been in bed back then!!

I hope you enjoyed my take on the mini magnolias!!

Big Squeezes

Zoe xxooo

**** Sending special hugs and thoughts to all my friends in NZ. ****
I hope you and your families and friends are safe.
Sending much love.

    Hi Zoe!
what a super gift. I love the cute mini Tilda’s. I have the big Tilda with hearts and couldn’t seem to see where to put the shading on her dress. I love how you have done one with the shading flowing to the side like her dress is catching the breeze and the other one straight down. I will now attempt to get that shading with my distress inks. I am having a real struggle with it. I love the box too. You are so clever.
Glad to hear that you got some of that Vitamin D and enjoyed yourself with friends.
    Hugs Maz

Fabulous gift idea, and the cards are gorgeous. I’m so used to seeing Magnolia images with loads of flowers and papers, it’s like a breath of fresh air to see your cleaner and simpler cards. Gorgeous colouring too! coB

Simple can be the most stunning and these little cuties are all the more noticeable because of it! As always, your coloring is AWESOME! You should come live in Raymore Mo. so we can color together! No beaches, mountains (well, I guess we have the Ozarks but I have a feeling that’s not quite what you are looking for!) or tropical temps though! In fact today we are having an ice storm!

This is amazing, Zoe! Your coloring is over-the-top GORGEOUS!
So happy you’re thinking of moving to the USA! I live in rural Wisconsin…no craft shop in the area!!!! Yes, Florida or California would be an ideal location for you!

    Hi Zoe,
No one can compare to your colouring.
I can quite see that it would take you as long to colour the mini’s with the beautiful way you do it!!
Love your gift. Simple and elegant. The box makes them extra special. Great work.
I don’t live in USA I am in Canada. Quite surprised by your news of moving!! Sure hope you find the perfect place to be happy there. Good luck :o )
    Hugs, Candy

Hi Zoe – How adorable is this set!!!! I have yet to get myself the mini’s so I have that to look forward to. What a special gift for your friend. How exciting that you’re moving to the US. I would highly recommend southern California, but then I’m partial to the western states. Somewhere in the San Diego area. I don’t have any specific recommendations, but I know you can get very close to the ocean as well as have easy access to 4-wheeling country. And the weather is very mild. The best of luck to you! Hugs :o )

Oh Zoe, each and every one of those mini cards are so precious.. I have no idea which one I would even love the most they are all so adorable.. Lucky friend who has you to care for… I am so excited you are thinking of moving to the US.. we would welcome you with open arms.. anywhere would be fine… California would be a perfect place, no hurricanes, but they do have earthquakes.. Florida would be fine, but they do have hurricanes, New Orleans would be fine for its old beauty, beaches, and history, but as we all know, we have hurricanes, as all the Gulf coastal area… so there does leaved Myrtle Beach, South Carolina or Savanah, Gorgia, all beautiful areas… There I have had my say.. I to pray for those in NZ and hope for the best…
    Hugs, Jean

Allo Zoe, can’t suggest a place to move in USA, i’m from Montreal, and it has nothing to do with sub-tropical climate, so…. you would disregard it on the spot! we are expecting 5 inches of snow LOL.
Your project is beautiful. Love all those mini cards, and their little box.
    Hugs. Danielle.

    Hi Zoe!
I’m back again. Just heard the news of you going to live in the States. You lucky.lucky gal. Here I was thinking that I was living close to the best coloring person in blog world.
Not to worry. I’ll just pack my bags and follow you over. I always say that to my friend Patti Jo in Minnesota. You wouldn’t want to live there with all the snow storms. California seems to be the perfect place.
    Hugs Maz
